The Stars and Stripes Gala makes its joyful début with the reimagination of the Third Annual Grass Valley Armed Forces Day Celebration. This gala evening is the prelude to the Armed Forces Day Celebration and Fly-in at the Nevada County Airport on National Armed Forces Day and adds an exciting and festive dimension to this patriotic celebration.

DINNER: Enjoy a lavish and artfully presented dinner; the menu is prepared with a symphony of locally sourced and resourced ingredients, accompanied by a selection of fine local wines, spirits, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and divine desserts.

SHOW: Big names like Bob Hope, The Andrews Sisters, and more, eagerly volunteered their time and talents to travel overseas to entertain the troops throughout the war. The touring USO Camp Shows brought American cheer and laughter close to every fighting front. ​​​​This evening’s performances are a tribute to the iconic USO entertainers and bring the USO Camp Show to life, hosted by Bob Hope, featuring The Andrews Sisters and a lineup of special guest stars.
